Parys: Recycled Dog Lead

£24.00

Parys Mountain (Welsh: Mynydd Parys) is situated south of the town of Amlwch in northeast Anglesey, Wales. Initially called Trysclwyn, the area is believed to have been renamed after being granted to Robert Parys, the Chamberlain of North Wales, by Henry IV. The site features a large copper mine that saw extensive activity in the late 18th century. Despite its name, Parys Mountain is actually a hill with an elevation of 147 meters.

People have mined the metals harboured within Parys Mountain since the Bronze Age. A mass of copper ore that was discovered there in the late 1760’s prompting large scale mining. The mine owner, Thomas Williams became known as the ‘Copper King’.

Echoing the historical background of copper mining, we thought this was the perfect name for the copper orange colours found in this repurposed climbing rope.

This absolutely gorgeous repurposed climbing rope dog lead is predominantly orange in colour with yellow, black and blue patterning.

Available in both 4ft and 5ft 9.5mm recycled climbing rope. Parys also comes with a 12kN Wildbarc branded locking carabiner for extra safety, locking your carabiner ensures your dog won't unclip themselves from their collar when out on your adventures.
