Abergavenny is almost entirely surrounded by mountains and hills. You'll find the Town in the shadow of the Bloreng (559m, 1,834ft), Sugar Loaf (596m, 1,955ft), Ysgyryd Fawr (Great Skirrid), Ysgyryd Fach (Little Skirrid), Deri, Rholben and Mynydd Llanwenarth, known localls as "Llanwenarth Breast". If you have never had the pleasure to visit then we recommend a stop to explore the many trails or take a hike up the Skirrid followed by a refreshing drink in one of the UK's most haunted pubs, the Skirrid Inn.
