Following the amazing success of our very first zine and photo challenge, ffwng, we’re excited to announce that it's time to enter the woods again with our second photo challenge cleverly titled, wait for it, ffwng 2!! Yes, genius! Haha! Unlike the movies, this sequel is going to be just as epic!

Our amazing community came together in such a wonderful way for the inaugural issue, and we were truly amazed and humbled by the incredible submissions and energy everyone brought to last Octobers photo challenge. We absolutely cannot wait to see the amazing photographs of your fungi finds and adventures for ffwng 2.

We're hoping the momentum will continue, like our mushy friends, growing in to beautiful community together as we share photos, chat fungus and embrace getting outdoors to look at our environments with investigative eyes.

Plus this year, we may have a few other little surprises ready to reveal over the coming weeks. 

Our Chosen Non-Profit

This time, we're excited to shout that all profits from ffwng 2 will be donated to Trash Free Trails, a fantastic non-profit dedicated to protecting our outdoor spaces and (re)connect people with nature through the simple yet meaningful act of removing single-use pollution from wild places.

Prizes

Our favourite photo submission will be thanked with a £50 Voucher to use in our online store and will feature on the front cover of the printed ffwng 2 zine plus a copy of the zine.

Additionally, all chosen photos featured in the zine will receive a copy of the zine and a £10 Voucher to use in our online store.

Most importantly, we hope you'll have fun!

How to Enter

Whether you contributed to our last zine, or you're a first-timer, ffwng is the perfect place to share your work, get outside, explore and most important of all, ffwng is for everyone - you don't need to have a fancy camera or be a professional photographer to take part.

Simply post your entries on Instagram with the hashtag #ffwngzine2 and please keep a high resolution photo on standby in case we choose your photo to be featured in the magazine. We may ask for some additional information such as the location and date the photo was taken.

Need to Knows

1. Last date for submissions is Thursday 31st October 2024. Keep an eye on our instagram for any updates or changes to this date.
2. All photos submitted must be portrait and NOT landscape.
3. Please ensure all images are high quality resolution so should your photo be chosen we are able to print the image.
4. All photo submissions MUST be your own photographs and submitted from an instagram that is accessed by yourself.
5. You can submit as many photos as you like, the more the merrier.
6. Winners will be chosen by us and notified by or on the 30th November 2024.
7. If your Instagram profile is private we will unfortunately not be able to see your photo submission.
8. Photos MUST be posted on your instagram grid to enter and you should use the hashtag #ffwngzine2 so we can find them.
9. When posting your photos on Instagram you agree to use for promoting the photo challenge across our social media platforms. We will always tag your account when sharing any photos on our social media platforms.
10. Winners will be contacted by Wildbarc ONLY from our instagram account. DO NOT give any information to anyone else who may contact you as this may be a scam. If you are unsure please contact us before engaging with any account or person posing as Wildbarc.

Magazine Release Date

Once all submissions have been selected, all successful zine entrants will be contacted notified by or on the 30th November 2024. Thereafter, we will need a few weeks to ready the zine to go to print with the hope to launch within 3-4 weeks after November 30th 2024.
